POETRY CORNER – Amour by Dark sage

AmourFallingMan

Then he fell to the ground

The force was too strong to contend with

He did not have the power to contest it

He strived, though

He could not see what it was

But he felt its impact

It tore through him

Symbioting with his flesh

The crash’s brevity felt like forever

He did not think it could overcome, but it did

The intensity of its wake was stronger than he could handle

He was defeated

He looked straight at it

He could not fathom its meaning

It regenerated and overwhelmed

Now its light began to dim

The humidity was getting lighter

Now he can see

It was you

as quoted from Dark Sage the poet: “symbioting” (verb; present continuous tense) – poetic coinage from the word “symbiosis”; referring to mutual sustenance of one or more beings.
